Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, hosting friends and family or simply want to enjoy an exceptional meal without leaving home, Norfolk County Catering brings the private dining experience directly to you.
Our chefs prepare and serve your menu at your chosen location, creating a restaurant-quality dining experience that's completely tailored to you and your guests.
From relaxed three-course dinners and sharing menus to more elaborate tasting menus and bespoke culinary experiences, we'll work with you to create something that's right for your occasion.
How Our Private Dining Works
Everything taken care of, from preparation to clear-down.
Once you've chosen one of our menus — or we've created a bespoke menu specifically for you — we'll take care of the rest.
1. Choose Your Menu
Your menu is pre-ordered before the day. You can choose from our selection of private dining menus, or we'll work with you to create something bespoke around your tastes, occasion and requirements.
2. We Arrive & Prepare
Your chef will arrive approximately 1½ hours before your meal to begin preparing everything fresh.
We'll bring the equipment we need to cook your meal, so you don't need to worry about having a fully equipped kitchen.
3. We Set The Table
We'll set your dining table ready for your guests, including charger plates, linen napkins and cutlery, creating a proper restaurant-style setting in your own home or chosen venue.
4. We Cook & Serve
Your chef will prepare and cook the menu fresh on site before serving it to you and your guests.
We can make the experience as involved or as discreet as you'd like. If you'd like us to be part of the evening, we can keep drinks topped up, talk you through the food and look after your guests. Or, if you'd rather enjoy the evening privately with your friends and family, we'll stay in the background and let you get on with it.
5. We Clear Away
Once you've finished, we'll clear the dining area, wash up and leave the kitchen clean and spotless, so you can carry on enjoying your evening without being left with a mountain of washing up.
What About Waiting Staff?
For smaller groups, your chef can generally manage the experience themselves. For parties of more than 10 guests, a dedicated member of waiting staff is required to ensure the service runs smoothly.
Additional waiting staff can also be added to smaller bookings if you'd like a more formal or hands-on service.

Private dining doesn't have to feel formal. Some guests want a restaurant-style experience with attentive service, while others simply want great food cooked for them and to be left to enjoy the evening.
